When healing turns into a business, who gets left behind?
WELL(NESS) is a female-led dramedy about women, wellness, and the price of inner peace. Set at a wellness retreat gone hilariously wrong, the film follows four women as curated calm unravels and the line between authenticity and performance begins to blur. With humor, vulnerability, and satire, the story explores healing as performance, the commodification of community, and what it really means to be well.
A smart, funny, and emotionally honest exploration of modern healing culture—where true connection cannot be bought, only felt and shared.
I made WELL(NESS) to hold space for the contradiction: that longing for wellness is real, valid, and deeply human—and so is the absurdity, profit, and performance underlying it. This film celebrates the women who navigate this contradiction daily, honoring their hunger for connection while gently calling out the systems that package it back to us. It's a love letter to imperfection, authenticity, and the messy, true moments that happen when the performance breaks down.
A lifelong people-pleaser whose silence erupts into truth. Vera watches the chaos unfold with wry awareness, until the moment her honesty cracks everything open.
Tech-savvy, screen-addicted, and deeply skeptical of nature. Mi55_F1re's allergic to the retreat world—until forced connection becomes unavoidable.
Enthusiastic, underqualified, and caught between seller and sold. Kat genuinely wants to help, even as she profits from the very system she's become trapped in.
A shapeshifter masking deep exhaustion beneath affirmations and self-help trends. CoCo's constant evolution reveals how much energy authenticity costs.
Every frame reflects the film's tension between polish and chaos—a visual metaphor for the retreat's carefully constructed facade.
The story lives in moments of authentic vulnerability—where masks slip and truth emerges beneath the performance.
Satire that lands because it honors what it's critiquing—humor rooted in compassion for the very systems it questions.
